SciFi and Fantasy Art: Night of mating

Deep in the jungle lives a tiny dragonbreed. The female is the only one to have wings. The male, wingless and somewhat smaller than the female, spends his whole life nurturing his own Cottonfire flower.
The cottonfire flower blossom one moonless night every year. When they blossom they glow from whithin and looks like embers or fire-sparks dotting the jungle in rare places.

When they blossom the female dragon flies from flower to flower 'til she find one she likes, then she lands and spies a while on the male to see if he's as good as his flower. If he is, they'll play, then mate. Afterwards she'll lay her eggs and fly away to let the male take care of them.

How lovely! It's a wonderful little plant and a wonderful story to go with it. It's so cute.
Lovely colors.
