SciFi and Fantasy Art: Centauri vs Human in Tourneament

I brought a centaur in to a modern time enviroment. Inspired by Globen Horse Show in Sweden and the shows that "Tourneamentum" (a swedish group of riders that can be found on Gotland and preforms knight-tourneaments) put up I decided to make a picture of a ordinary rider challenging a centaur. There is a story behind this but it's too long to tell you. ^^ The advertising-signs says "Vote for Coplins in the Stable-Toplist!" If you're a member at Stallet.se you know what to do the next time you log in there. *winks and grins*  Now if you´re not a member there, which most likely is the case - I'm doing shameless advertising for myself on this picture. ^^

The picture is made with 2 separate pictures. The onlookers is one picture and the horse/centaur is one pic. The audience is one picture with 9 people in. I've copy/pasted in that pic numerous times and made it smaller 3 times. The floor and advertising signs in the background is wholly Photoshop CS2 made. The rest is made in stages. First i sketched with a pencil. Then I filled the sketch in with 2 Steadler Artliner pens (size: 3.0 and 0.05). I erased the underlying pencilsketch and started colouring it in with coulorpencils, some red ink, white paint and watercolor-pencils. Each color consists of minimum 2 hues, maximum 4. (I was lazy) When that was done I scanned the pictures and put them together in Photoshop and added background details.  With all the details and stages this picture took approx 40 hours to draw. Unusually long time  for me. Oh well...

oh, wow, love the detail in this. Had to take a second look to find out who the centaur was, which is neat.

This is truly AWESOME!!
I love the pose of the real horse, the armour, the way the fabric falls and the horses' gear.
I do wonder if the centaur shouldn't angle a little bit more to the right, and if the knights right foot isn't a little bit too small. I mean: your feet is the same size as your lower-arm.
But it is amazing! It really is!!

People copying makes crouds SOOOO much easier! And you've done a great job hiding that, I never can. I had to look twice to make sure I was right ^_^

My bet's on the Centauri! LOL. Had to look for a few seconds to see which one was the Centaur but that's cool. I like it.
