| 1 Jun 2000 | Raymond W. Soderlund | Very realistic, yet still enchanting. Having tried to draw bird-people in the past, I know how difficult it is to express the full range of emotions when the mouth area is a solid, unmoving beak. You do some marvelous work with the eyes and I like the way the black and white work here. | |
| 11 Jun 2000 | David | Very, very nice, and also very sweet.
One rarely sees birds drawn so well on archives like
this, particularly with this kind of expressiveness.
| 30 Jun 2000 | Kelly Banta(soon to be an elfwood artist) | very nice work here..I love all of your art....I especially love the smiles on these two, very endearing. | |
| 4 Aug 2000 | Eagle | I'm the Haliaeetus leucocephalus depicted here ... this was the first time anyone has depicted my character in a work. "Didlika" and I have indeed been good friends ... I can't help but feel very awed by my "friend" though for his work. Obviously I strongly cherish this piece in particular, but he brings a lot of passion through in all his work.
Anyone disagreeing with my assessment can find another use for my razor sharp beak! *grin*
| 8 Mar 2003 | Kit CW Kederich | A really good view and expression. Proud bird with the golden tail? (I bet you know what I mean). Wonderfull expression, which is something I work on with gryphons. Always difficult on birds, a great challenge, and you do very well. | |
| 22 Sep 2003 | Rachael *Lil Pixie* Evans | Hi Max, I hope you don't mind, but I used this picture in my tour of beautiful birds ^.^ They really are beautiful!! | |
| 21 Dec 2004 | Jessica 'Sunfur' Prisbrey | Aahhhhhaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! | |
| 11 Aug 2005 | OOPS! | The expression on the dark one's face in kind of unrealistic, for a bird. | |
| 1 Apr 2008 | Anon. | the expression is GREAT. It’s a DRAWING from someone’s IMAGINATION, it can be any way they want it!! | |
