SciFi and Fantasy Art: Let go

'The young dragon strugled with all it's might, trying to get free of the chains that bound it to the earth. He pulled and tugged and cried out to the Gods to let it free. But nothing happened. finally, the young dragon laid it's mighty head down to finally give up and let itself die, when it realised the chains, the very chains that had bound it to the cold, disgusting ground, were not bound to him. Instead, he was bound to the chains, holding onto them for dear, sweet life. But if he were to let go, what would happen? He set the chains aside and opened his wings wide. That felt nice. He then lept into the clear, open sky, and soared along the firefly lit air.' (Orininal was done in watercolor pencils before i painted it. I can scan the painted versin, if anyone wants. Anyway, I was playing with the colors to try and get the paper more white, and i came up with this. He's originally blue. I like this though. And, just for the cat, I saved it as a progressive jpeg! ....although those things drive me crazy, heh)

Hey Julie! This is wonderful. She (he?) seems to be striving upwards, even though she's falling. Btw. thanks for the kind comment (made me feel good when being down).

You have an incredible gift for using the written word as well as a wonderful talent for drawing. I love this, and there's nothing more I can say about it, I just love it. Beauty is found when we have the courage to see with our hearts and free them from the chains of blindness that bound them.
