SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lost Comforts

I was just playing around with watercolors for the first time in art class and painted this. I drew it first in pencil though, and then painted it. I don't know too much about the story behind the painting or who the girl is. By the way, the thing in her hand is a circlet, I had a lot of people asking me what that was when I showed them the picture so I figured I'd tell everyone before hand what it is.
