So instead of having it close to the head, and appearing like some sort of cloth, make it a bit bulkier, and more like metal or some other hard helmety material. Because when you have it following the line of the head, so closely, it looks like a part of the rest of his suit, rather than a helmet. I think that gives it a very underwater look. | |
