SciFi and Fantasy Art: Jaece anime study

This is a anime study of Jaecenii Atima, a character in my novel. I got the head, face and hair pretty animeish and from what I know, those elements are the tell-tail signs of anime. If I'm wrong, and anime bodies have something about them that make them anime, someone please tell me. To the right are studies of head views: head on and three quarters. My head-on needs alot of work and I have to fix up the hair in the three-quarters. 0.9mm mechanical pencil on graph paper (I've run out of pages in my sketch book!! :O( )

It's the eyes... And the nose. Methinks thows are what is making it look animeish... Good job anime eyes are sumtimes pritty hard to do, i would know its the only style i draw.

I agree that the nose is way to big. Also the her right foot needs a bit of a touch-up.

Goddamnit! What a dumbass this anonymous person is! Not everyone has a tiny nose so how the hell can it be too big when it just may be a character's feature. It's not even freakishly large! He/she was even to afraid to leave his/her name and e-mail addresse cause he/she was probably scared he/she would be flamed! Yeah! Well, I would have flamed that person, too! Those kind of people make me so mad! Arrrgggg! *steam blows out of ears and head blows up*

it needs alot of touch up. I draw alot of anime myself n I watch alot of shows n haff gone threw tons of tutorials. your chin is pointed on there. I can't say everyone is perfect n Im deffinatly not on some parts of my drawings. But if you could member to try to have a rounded chin not so pointy sorta like a smooth curve. theres a few other things I didn't like about it other wise Its a great picture just keep up the good work n for some ppl (not you I think you did a good job on this) member on girls bodies the upper torso we don't have two balloons pasted on us to make our chests. ^_^

As my book says (From when i was a wanna-be):
In more serious Anime, characters have more realistic proportions. They're about six heads high. Their eyes are fairly small, as are they're feet and hands.
(You use the head as measurement, so the lags are about four heads high, and the upper body a little over one head high)

Wow, that's pretty good! If you want it to look more anime, you should make the noses look more like the one in the frontal view and make the back of the hair... strandier?

Hey i like the pic. I think it look good. Anime is hard, so practice makes purrrfect! There is a book called Manga Mania that might help. It helps alot w/eyes. Plus it gives good examples on the face and diffrent diffrent types of Anime you can do! Keep it up!
