SciFi and Fantasy Art: Cad Angelus

My very first entry for CMAX -- otherwise known as the Monthly Character eXchange contest, a very fun way to challenge your artistic skills AND get people to do pictures of your characters in return. Every month you put your name into the draw and people are matched up at random. There's usually a separate theme and in this case, it was 'At the Beach.' (Literally so... I painted this while I was on holiday in Cancun, Mexico. One gets SO tired of painting landscapes... *L*) This is Amy Cyrway's fallen angel Cad Angelus and his very big (and strategically placed sword) coming out of the surf.

I love what you did with Elf Mage in Repose, but this one is just as neat for presenting a male in a way that's sexy and attractive, but also strong and pure. One pretty boy, one beefcake, and neither look like their looks are their only good attribute. Thank you for the giving men back some of our opportunity to look good! > --"Why exactly does you're fully armored fighter woman have more skin showing than my nearly naked male mage?..."

Seriously, though, I really like the wings in this picture-- I don't think I've seen any around quite like that. The colors and the anatomy themselves are really nice! Also, I'm off to comb through the rest of the gallery, I'm really impressed. n.n
