SciFi and Fantasy Art: Smidge!

One of the first contests I entered for the Monthly Gargoyles Contest <http://www.myst.org/mgc/> was the Mascot design contest. I wound up being runner-up out of five finalists, which in itself is reward enough. This happy little creature is Smidge, a gargoyle/elf/fairy/furry sort of being in order to represent the many interests of the artists that participate in MGC. Smidge will be featured at my exhibit in the G2K Art Show -- Gathering 2000 in Orlando, Florida, August 4-6!!

Out of all your wonderful art, I think this pic is prob my favorite. shes SO cute and simple and happy, the dynamic of the pic is perfect, and i love how shes holding a pencil! 12 you know, i have been a huge gargoyles fan from the start, and unfortunately i did not discover the online fanworld until AFTER The Gathering 2000 (can I hear a big "DUH" from the audience, please) - I live less than 2 hrs fromOrlando!!!! I wouldve LOVED to come visit you and smidge at the show. oh well *sob* keep up the good wrk, and good luck with the illustration career!
