SciFi and Fantasy Art: Eyes...take two

I like eyes.  They are the windows to the soul.  At least, that's what I think.  This is my collection of different species and their respective eyes, illustrating the differences.  I couldn't really think of anymore races or I could, but not how to illustrate them.  Any ideas? Done in graphite pencil and colorpencil. No referenced used, they are all out of my head.  Kinda proud of that, (yes I didn't even look in the mirror for the human one :P) Took FOR-EV-ER. (about 4 days)

These are really great! I like to draw eyes, but I've never tried to do them differently for different creatures. I love how the satyr's eye is goatish. You did a great job!

Try pixies, gnomes or lepricons...
You can also try a dryad or different kinds of elves, like a dark elf, a wood elf,...
but this is great, really really great.
I find it hard to make an eye say something
the most difficult emotion is sadness

2 Kaegan N. Cusenbary replies: "It's all in the eyebrows is what i always say...that and the highlights in the actual eye...very fun to draw. *hmmm* pixies eh? I'll look into it *brain storming* for sadness in eyes, make sure to look at Rose Tears...so far that is definately my best....tootles!"

Love the mermaid and the elven eyes. The mermaid's look so watery and i love the beautiful details on the elf's eye. Hehe my eyes are green too 10 x

2 Kaegan N. Cusenbary replies: "i wish i had green eyes....*sigh* lol, yeah, these took a while to do, I'm glad that you like them, it seems everyone has a different favorite, personally, the mermaid is one of my more favored ones. Thanks for the comment!"

That's really really great!! Great idea, beautifully drawn and it's easy to recognize most of them also without description (I'm not sure if I would have known the mermaid or the satyre ;->12

Beautiful, I like that they are very alike but the subtle difference make them so... well, different! I really like the elven being slanted but the mermaid is my favorite... it's very pretty! The dragon eye is kind of surprising because it is so different from the other; this is a good thing, in my opinion! I like this very much! Great pic
