SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mistress of the Flame

A full, fifth-level mage of Merieb concentrates upon the flame that engulfs her hand without burning. Or, in other words, a fun practice of making fire and wings. ^_^ Maybe should do a bit more practice on hair. (d'oh!) I like her robe though... but the flame on her hand should be casting light on her face/arm and it's not. Ah well... the bliss of never having studied light sources. I'm in a class right now about that, amoung other things. My drawings are starting to take on... detail! (shudder) Besides, the first impression she gives seems to be good, and that's all you can ask for sometimes. Prismacolors on 67lb paper again, last picture of 2001, completed about 5 minutes to midnight.
