SciFi and Fantasy Art: Justification [of Laziness]

I was drawing (or redrawing) a Hippocampus for a collaborative art-type project thing I'm doing and was like 'hey, I like this tail type!' So I wanted to know what it'd look like with wings. And different ears. And claws. And suddenly a had a wyvern instead. ~_~ The only title I have ever given it is 'Justification of Laziness' because the day before I did this (and the actual hippocampus, and a hippogryph, and some other drawings/sketches/pictures) I was totally lazy ALL day. So it was like I was making up for that (especially since it's a full-page piece). And so many other months this year without anything creative coming from my hands. Prismacolor markers on bristol index paper entirely overlaid with colored pencils. I wanted the background to be flat and the wyvern to be more 3-D-ish, and so it is. [Week of August 23, 2004]
