SciFi and Fantasy Art: Papier Mache Mask: the Bride

A brand new mask, completely constructed by hand from papier mache pulp and plaster gauze and marble paste. The veil is spiderweb netting (didn't come out at all in the scan, take my word for it) and she's painted with acrylic paints with acyrlic jewels added on. The bat is just a bit of plastic confetti. I should note that she's a wall-hanging only and while life-size, can't be worn.

All of your masks (and paintings!) are fabulous, but this one is just so blindingly beautiful! The purple that reminds me of the iridescence of butterfly wings, the beads, and of course; the tiny bat! I think I'm in love....

I agree with the above comment i like this best out of all your masks although they are all very original.. And i have a major phobia of masks that's why i haven't commented on them all, i have looked through them! X

I like the mask, though I just wanted to say ONE thing about it (and your other masks). It would be awesome if you had it, um, a fleshy colour. It would look so neat ^_^

Oh, wow. This looks like so much fun to do, but I know I would get so messy. They're all so beautiful.

*stares at all the pretty masks* Ahh, they're all so gorgeous. This one particularly caught my eye. I want to go to a masked Halloween ball so badly... even more so, now.

Ooo, I admire you greatly. I did a paper mache mask two years ago in art class, let's just say it didn't turn out too well. ^_^ This is great, I have a ceramic face mask similar to this but this is paper mache very nice. I like the dark feel to it it's very beautiful. Keep it up!

I've seen a lot of masks in my time, but this one is beautiful, morbid, graceful, comforting, creepy... and so many more words than i have in my vocabulary! I love it! I wish i could have a mask like that...
