Also like many others I appreciate that you made her a little on the chunky side -- which was the way Tolkien envisioned hobbits. So she is cute but not too beautiful -- though to Sam, of course, she beats Galadriel and Arwen and all the rest of them! Because you made her a bit "round," her breasts, though large, look very natural and proportional -- you gave her natural proportions, not anime-cartoon proportions, which I think really adds to her beauty. A little flaw: her hands are a bit small even by human standards, and Tolkien, if I remember right, said that hobbits tended toward large hands. But I might be wrong on that... Anyway, all your pics are wonderful, but this is one of the best. Dagmar Jung replies: "Thank you for your extended comment!Yes, Hobbit proportions... I am still working to get them right. As I see it, they should differ from standard human proportions, but still look natural. With Rosie I shortened arm length, but took the measure for her hands from my own, which are smaller than average. If I lay my hand against my face, the fingers reach just above my eyebrows.I really don't remember Tolkien's line about large hands of Hobbits. I only remember he described them as more fine-boned than dwarves, which suggests to me that they don't have very large hands. Can you give me a reference? The only description general Hobbit looks I know is in the beginning of The Hobbit and LotR. but I haven't read the background material of HoME or his letters. In beginning of The Hobbit he speaks of 'clever long brown fingers' but... hmmm... canon or no, somehow this seems not a description I would like to adapt for Rosie. ;-)"

I dore her cheekbones, they give her face a more matured edge, but her eyes and smile still look so youthful and energetic. Not to mention, her hair is just beautiful. Amazing work. Dagmar Jung replies: "Thank you, I am glad you like it! "
