SciFi and Fantasy Art: (Y-front) FearyAre you walking around, missled by the cute anime fearies, thinking, 'Most of the fearies are kind and good looking'? You´re deadly wrong!! Next time this fella might be knocking on your window and you will be sorry. A time ago Jeremy requested something with a background, and then Maggie wanted some fearies. Here he are: a feary whith background.
| | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 17 Feb 2001 | Christine E. McLeod | I love the use of shading. For some reason (I have no idea why) it looks sort of Christmas-y. I do, however, wish he wasn't running around in his underwear.I´ve no idea why it has that christmas feal, but it does. But you know what they say: No real christmas without a feary runnig around in nothing but his underwear | |
| 19 Apr 2001 | Elizabeth Holgate | Beautiful shading, and the background must have taken quite a bit of work. It makes all the difference though. Oh and btw...you're right about peoples opinion of these little critters...Thank you for your kind comment, and thanks for backing me up. | |
| 23 Apr 2001 | Keetsie Joy | Haha, I love this evil little guy. It's a nice change from all the anime/cutesie fairies, I agree. The shading and background are excellent. Wonder what he's going to do with that stick....You don´t wanna know. With that curly end and all. | |
| 24 Apr 2001 | Elisabeth Svensson | lol. How did you come up with the idea of this. I saw the title and thought "Y-front...he can't mean..." Apparently, you could. It's great, I had a good laugh! It´s a combination of too little sleep and not enough good ideas. | |
| 28 Apr 2001 | Tanya Dubrovsky | Wow, this is stunning. Great shading! After reading the other comments and looking at it more closely, I guess I'm wondering why his reflection glows so brightly. Also, the window in the lower left corner is a good touch, but it kind of looks like it's floating. Maybe a little light on a tree or the rooftop would have grounded it? Just something to think about. Good job! Thank you, that is a good advice. But I don´t think I´ll change it, but I´ll keep that in mind ´till next time | |
| 20 Jun 2001 | ArienVixen | Hey! That's the little punk ass who was outside my window! And you drew him to the 'T' too. Heehee, seriously this is totally wicked. I love faeries, and it's great to see one that doesn't follow most of the traditional patterns. And the shading is excellent. I think I know how it has that x-mas feel....it's the window. The Christmas Carol type movies always have windows like that (although they're usually covered with snow and ice). Yeah, great job, I'll be sure to come back The window OF COURSE!! Why didn´t I think of that? Thanks. | |
| 30 Jan 2002 | Joeie 'Wildberry' Paul | lol your humor is kinda Odd....lolhehe, I guess so... | |
| 19 Feb 2002 | Morgan | Wow he is great! i love the detail, and the backgroung is wonderful. If i could draw guys, i would want them to look like that little dude | |
| 24 May 2002 | Roxanne Hancock | LMAO, I LOVE his little briefs XD He looks like he's a little burglar trying to break in the window.
BTW, Did you MEAN to write "Feary" instead of "fairy" as some kind of pun???? If so, it's funny...if not, it's still funny! XD
| 12 Dec 2002 | Carolyn Joy Whitten | Underpants fairies of the world unite! *raises fist, no one joins, lowers fist, hangs head* ANYway, comment! Like the pic (see above for reiterations of why it is great)! I know you're not going to change it, but for next time: the reflection of the critter's leg seems a little off; seems like you should be able to see some of his knee from this angle, but I could be wrong. I don't know why people think it looks Christmasy...personally I was reminded of The Great Mouse Detective...but that's just me...^_- Great work! | |
