| 22 Apr 2000 | Emilie Phelps | Hm... no comments yet? Well pooh... guess I'll just have to write one then! Okay, first thing I notice is the eyes... they're shaded well but I think they look a little... bulgy and flat. Oi, that sounds like an oxy moron. What I mean is, it looks like the eyeball is a little too flush against the upper and lower lash-line... try making it rounder. Also the positioning is a teensy bit off... too far to the left, I think. Make her facing a little less to her left or show less of the left eyeball and move her right eyeball a little farther to the right. Next... full out her lips a little... poor woman needs some smackers! Also, the hood makes her head look like it drops off at a flat angle at the back. A hood should be full so round off her head. Her hair could even come tumbling over her shoulder out of the hood--that would be neat-o-sy. Last, her neck needs a little more shading and to maybe curve a little more... its a little too straight of a line. Good pic, I love the expression... the sadness it conveys. Oh, and excellent jawline! Bravo! | |
| 8 May 2000 | Daniel Dahlqvist | I appreciate your reflections. Critique is good, especially constructive. I will take your words to me and learn from them. Thank you! I admit that I have problems with perspecive and to make the picture less flat. Thank you again! | |
| 20 May 2000 | Anita | That's terrible!! The story I mean... why If I were that woman, I would not stand watching my family die in front of me without doing anything. I'd rather fight back and die along with them!
But anyways, I can see some room for improvement in your work. Keep practicing! | |
