SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Sisters DuncargwyrThe Sisters Duncargwyr are the result of my attempt to depict dwarven women. Before any of you cry out that not all dwarf women have to be thoughened orcslayers, these aren't supposed to be representative of short ladies as a whole. The Sisters are part of an adventuring group about to be run by some friends of mine. Besides, the one on the left is a priestess. She has taken up the hammer not as a weapon, but as a means of spreading the word of Duncargun the Hammerstriker. | |

| 21 Mar 2001 | Marlena Cannon | This is great. It also looks like the light is coming from a specific source, rather than used purely as modelling? That's something I wish I knew how to fix on my paintings. | |
| 26 Apr 2001 | Dani 'Elfman' Shaddeau | See the one of the right? Yep, that's me when I get drunk and I do my own hair. *LMAO* I need to come up with some useful comments one of these days...ahhh....they really have alot of personality, I'll give you that Good expressions | |
| 6 May 2001 | Gnome Lover | Nyce pictures. I am a Dungeons and Dragons fan and my favorite characters happen to be Gnomes and Dwarves , females mostly. I see a few people commented on the beard, so I will as well, not all dwarven women have beards but those that do are not minded at all. In the Forgotten Realms (D&D setting) dwarves are the "Bearded Folk" and a beard only enhances a females' beauty and besides their goddesses are baerded too. | |
| 24 Aug 2001 | Heidi Jo Blackburn | Now that's a rowdy bunch of ladies! LOL! These dwarven ladies have a lot of kickass attitude! Great job on the rippling muscles btw. | |

| 13 Sep 2002 | Ali the incredibly annoyed!!! | This is an awesome pic! AND for all those that just don't get the concept of 'fantasy'- it means there is no right way and no wrong way just an artists imagination!!! I am so sick of ppl saying thats not right, dwarves have this elves have that!!! HOW DO THEY KNOW?? HAVE THEY SEEN A PHOTO? They are pure fantasy - dictionary definition - 'the faculty of inventing images, esp. extravagant or visionary ones' - do all those who think fantasy creatures should be drawn in a certain way get it now???? I am so sorry Daniel but I am tired of reading slop about how the artist has got it wrong!!! Your work rocks my friend!! | |
| 30 May 2003 | Jasmin Islam | Heheh, I love the one on the right. She looks so sweet, what with the flame-coloured mohawk and braids, and beer mug and severed head beneath her boot. | |
