I know it's not supposed to make any medical sense, but, um wouldn't she die in like ten seconds once she's cut the -huge- artery in her leg (and it doesn't look like she has any bandages, though I don't think it would help if she did). I'd go with the bugs if survival were my goal. Sorry to bash your pic, it's a pretty powerful one, and it's fantasy.
