SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sethra Lavode

Yet another character study, from (again) the Dragaera books. it, too, passed muster. She's the undead, vampiric Sorceress of Dzur Mountain, and she's older than dirt.

I've never read the Dragaera books, but I certainly will now!

I just stumbled upon your work here; all very beautiful. I always pictured Sethra as appearing rather older and sort of hard-edged... actually quite like what Anne Rice now looks like. 12 But, since she is, as you say, older than dirt, a premier sorcerer, and undead to boot, there is no reason she should not look like this. Well, except that in the books I never actually got the impression that he looked hot.

What a remarkable work! So honest & innocent … I would have married her if she was real… 2 Well done!

Wow. I too, have usually picture Sethra much more severe looking, but I like this picture. Good Work

Oh... and I like that she has a Nobles Point, or whatever they call a widow's peak. Kiera doesn't have one, and Morrolan's isn't prevalant, so I'm happy to see Sethra's.

It took me a long time to get that Dragaereans weren't actually scaly... But I think I've always thought of Sethra as very much like a marble statue with an Allison Janney skull... and her amused expression. 1 This Sethra's much softer than that, but still nice. She doesn't scare me.
