SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Rootsword

This is the coolest weapon I have ever drawn. It was a fluke, of course. I have no idea how I managed it, as it was years and years and years ago when I certainly didn't have the skill to do this. *shrug* It's supposed to be a grown blade, with those tendrils flowing out from that eye-like spot just above the hilt. Elven, undoubtedly. Done with mechanical pencil, if I remember rightly. -update: I, uh, realized how huge my pictures were and managed to shrink a few. I also added some photoshop effects :) (I'm particularly happy with the blend-difference effect on this!)

1 Jan 2001	Sub xero	Loading... Yo, it's sub xero again. Did you use a computer for your magnificent drawing or a pencil? Did you use both? An idea from me to you, you could draw a worrior wealding the so called mighty rootsword Danya Jones replies: "I drew the blade and hilt in pencil, then scanned and added the purple/green glowy stuff and the simple background. I'll try to do some pics of people actually using some weapons. Thanks for the comments, sub xero!"
