SciFi and Fantasy Art: Elven female warrior (unfinished)

This is sort of a sketch of an elven lady. I guess she could be a warrior of sorts. I didn't make her arms and fingers slender, because if you spend your life fighting and working really hard, your body will adapt. This is one of my favourites. 0.3 mm lead bar Pencil.

Good looking elf. Well fed. I never saw why elves *had* to be thin anyway. Depending on your author, elves can also be curvy (Laurell K Hamilton), short (Jane Yolen), or winged (some RA Salvatore). And actually, I think her arms are fine, that's about what mine would look like if they had more muscle tone and *looks down shirt* yep, I'm very definitely a woman.

She looks like she is going to kick my butt!

But really, I like the detail in the cloth and the shading...

And to the people who say 'This isnt how an elf looks, they look like... blah blah': How do you know? You see one lately? Last time I checked they were NOT REAL to begin with. 12 (Santas elves are shown as squat and chubby midgets with tangly beards.... hmmm, so nobodys right and nobody is wrong...) 10

While Elvish proportions are a matter of opinion it seems hard to accept that a magical/mythical race *must* conform with human physiology - i.e. have muscular arms to possess strength.

I like it. She looks like my rp character, a half elf named Saina.

This pic kicks butt.I totally agree that elves don't have to be thin. As to the "manly arms" bit I've seen here. My arms look precisely like that and I'm definitely a girl! (Maybe that's why she looks ticked off. Somebody made a crack about her arms)

I really like the picture you go into some good detail on her uniform . I have never met an elf but i wouldnt know she was an elf by looking at her . She would have to tell me she was an elf . I have only one problem with the picture ..And it isnt a big one ..But here it goes ..
The hand that is raised in the air should be a bit bigger because it is closer to the viewer foreshortening ..Makes for really dynamic pictures ..

Well, I can't see anything femenin about "her" and he is not very elven. He is supposed to be an elf, and elves live for a very long time. The same physical rules do not apply to elves. They are supposed to be slim...
Please make him more femenin! Its a nice human, male, fighter though.
