SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gargoyle Warrior

This was originally drawn with a BIC mechanical pencil in 1994. I used the photo of a swim suit model for the figure. later in 1995 it was inked.

first off: i love the picture. the face has amazing quality... beautiful chica... i think the "small wing" comment people are ignorant... i see that they are halfway folded up halfway open... i am trying to get inspiration on my next tattoo... and if you would email me back... i would like to talk to you about designing me one... if it wouldn't be too much of a bother... great work!

Be Brutal? "I don't think so Tim." This is a classy picture. She looks great.

I agree, there is no way to be brutal at all. Someone should acctually hit you for being so modest. keep it up.

Brutal is the reverse of what I think. She's beautiful.

From your bio I like your honesty, it sure would do other artist proud! As far as this picture goes, I think you show a lot of promise, you might want to consider some art courses to strengthen the talent within. If you get a good teacher, they will help to bring this out. Good luck!

Beautiful! her expression is great!! I only have two things, her wings are a bit small if she is supposed to fly, remeber, when drawing huma like beings wiht wings, don't hold back on the wings, wingspans of owls are double the actual length of the owl when wings aren't spread. So on a human, being so awkward as we are, would have wingspans over 12 feet wide, probably much bigger. Eh... I'm just rambling^_^ And one other thing, her ahem... ah crotch area seems to come too far down... soryr, but I noticed, don't bambard me with death threats.. please!!

But I do love this peice... the inking looks almost like comic book inking.

I think I like this one the best. She's got character and her pose.
I could go on with a couple of pages of sujestions and point out numerouse flaws but then again you could do what all fantasy artists should do and get an Anatomy and Figure drawing book, copy loads of the pics inside it -accurately- and then come back and critasize it yourself.
Your work got some good style.

Feel free to visit my gallery again and leave more sujestions, I found the ones you left previousely quite interesting.
