Hmm.. Don't be mad or something, but honestly - I think that you should concentrate on pencil drawings.. They are truly amazing - especially great proportions, and in the case of "Brutus" - quite nice muscle sketch.
Comp. rendering sometimes makes the picture too much blurry, lines irregular..
It's a kind of my own personal liking for pencil sketches also, but I think that you're doing it so well that you shouldn't hide it under cp- art..

That's all 1
Best wishes

Night

:-) Diana Brewer (aka 'Fae-Fae') replies: "*chuckles* Why would I be mad? The point of posting my work is for the opportunity to share it with others and get feedback. I thank you very much for your honesty, actually. And, as far as my pencil work goes, I tend to color it because I find myself swinging through phases, heh. Sometimes, I'll draw sketch after sketch, not bothering to ink them or anything. Others, I feel like coloring and rendering my works I'd finished sometimes months past. *chuckle* But again, thank you for your comment!"

Nightwind has a valued opinion, but I disagree. I find your incorporation of CG, works to enhance the piece rather than hiding it. The soft blurry glow effect works to add a soft warm feeling thus another dimension to the pieces such as the "Half elven Beauty" and "In loving Memories". Just my opinion.

:-) Diana Brewer (aka 'Fae-Fae') replies: "Thank you for your comment. *chuckle* I've actually heard others say similar things on both points, and I'm truthfully glad that both sides were mentioned here. Honestly though, I do what I do for the fun of it, rather than sticking to a strong point, or working to improve a weak point. Maybe I'm just lazy *shrugs and grins* "

Wow, great paintings! I loved them all.
Only, I think that your shadings with the pencil are kind of dull.

Brutus is not cute. Diana is definitely cute. I would call Brutus ugly but it is a darn nice sketch. I love the Drow. Sounds like a female version of my own long-standing D&D 2nd Ed turned 3rd Ed turned 3.5 character.
