SciFi and Fantasy Art: Child of the Sun

The dreads were very long to shade and they look like strange roots :) A slight change of colors and it could become a child of the Earth ! I don't use enough the red shades and the theme of fire in my drawings, so it's almost a small 'challenge' to myself. (by the way, it's only a sketch)

I like the idea of 'rootish' hair, it's certainly original. The crown of leaves is very nice too.
