SciFi and Fantasy Art: Kelly

This is an attempt at another of Leah's characters. Unfortunately, I was looking at a dot matrix printout of her drawing of Kelly, and mine doesn't really look like hers. Oh well. Here's...another female warrior...named Kelly. No relation to Leah's character...yeah.

Actually, Patrick, she does look like my Kelly. Even though I bugged you about the hair, I like this new style. 2 Once again, good job!

I love the slighty windblown look of her hair... And the armour, you must have put a lot work into that... that detail ^_^ Nice profile, I like this. *noddy* Thanks, guys!

nice armor... It actually wasn't all that hard. It looks like I put more effort into it than I really did. Which is good, I suppose. : )

Cool profile. You don't have lots of those, huh? : ) Background looks like it was done fast, though. Its still good. Very good. : ) Ack! You got me. The background was done quickly. I have problems with wanting a good backgrounds, but by the time I'm up to the background, I just want to finish the drawing so I do it quickly. Bad Patrick!

Once again, good job. Nice face, hands and everything else. She's got cool armor, but it's maybe it's a little bit too shiney. Maybe that's her strategy... get the male warriors mesmerized with her shiney boobs, and then knock off their heads with her sword. That must be it. : )

love the landscape and the armour.. hmm..for some reason I find kelly not a name that would fit her...sounds too sweet 12 hahaha Oh well, it's Leah's character. I would have named her Deathbringer in a Boustier if it was my character, but hey, what are ya gonna do?

What I love the best is how well you kept the eye and nose in proportion, looks very pretty. SHE's very pretty I mean! Awesome drawing, love it! =)

:-) Patrick R. Derksen replies: "Thanks! I like this one too, though it doesn't recieve many comments...At least I know you like it."

Kellie, Kelli, Kelly, Kelley...etc. means "warrior woman" or "great warrior(man)." So the name couldn't be more appropriate...sweet? maybe, but don't cross her path!

2 Patrick R. Derksen replies: "I actually used this bit of info in a conversation with some Australians, who claimed that Kelly was much too girly a name to use for a boy in their country. Despite the whole "great warrior" thing, they seemed unconvinced..."
