I'm going to assume that the picture cuts off the bottom of his/her legs because the figure is slightly stumpy for the head size (and a little thick around the torso as well). That small strip of background in complimentary colors is very, very effective. Nice work. | |
| 14 Jul 2003 |  Melissa Desiree Graf | Oooh... This is simply gorgeous! The colours are so striking, but not in an in-your-face way. Very subtle, and the background strip is far more effective than a full background I'd say. The expression is simply gorgeous too, kind of whistful, yet far away...
The detailing on the kimono is great too. Hmm... for some reason I keep imagining the person wading hrough water, I think its the bunching at the bottom of the kimono - but no matter! It's a gorgeous picture!!!
