SciFi and Fantasy Art: Character Portrait: Adrael.

Warrior Archangel (Or at least, that's what he thinks he is), praetor and friend of Thorndike. Adrael is interesting, because he's an awesome kick-ass fighter who can be particularly violent, but he's very ignorant to social protocol and a lot of things Earthly. Adrael teaches Thorndike how to combat enemy celestials and keeps his back, and in return Thorndike teaches Adrael how to 'fit in' in humanity, like he does with Blake. Adrael always seems to be 'content' with everything because of his enlightened nature. However, even though he was developed to be a warrior, he abhores violence and finds spiritual war unnecessary, and is depressed every time he has to fight. On a lighter note, he develops into a TV junkie and finds keen interest in Jelly-Belly jellybeans. Because he's also sexually dubious, his relationship with Thorndike's roommate Grace and the Angel of Prostitution Agrat Bat Mahlat can be embarrassing, if not just plain amusing. BTW, he's wearing a duster, not a trenchcoat. UPDATE: Now in color! 10/4/01

I think you're a great artist when it comes to faces. Your characters always have such interesting expressions. This guy looks like his best friend just ratted him out...but thats just me.

Well isn't this nice. The hair is almost exactly like mine when it was long. The coat is the same, except for colour (mine is black). The general contentness seems to be there, too - though by me, it might be due to 'doubt-everything-human'-syndrome.
Also considering yourself to be an angelic warrior while regularly watching TV and eating jelly beans sounds much like me. ;-P
Do people often stumble on replicates of themselves? And such well-made ones, too! I like the coat and sword in particular.
