SciFi and Fantasy Art: Faery.

Christ, I hate working on 8 1/2 x 11... I can't get the details that I want, so... Unprofessional.
Anyway, this my faery. I looked at a blade of grass underneath a lens and drew the stalks in the back. Unfortunately, not everyone spends their time looking at grass underneath a lens, so wether or not they know what those things in the backround are is a coin-toss. Damn.
I'm thinking of airbrushing it. Maybe with some green the grass will be more recognizeable... :(

I concur that the degree of accuracy actually makes the grass blades fail the verisimilitude test (looking like what people think they look like instead of looking like what they really look like), but the fairy in posture and form and the ladybug together more than make up for it. Well done!
