| 25 May 2001 | Sophie 'SoMK' M.Klesen | I really like your greyscale art ! I don't see why you couldn't turn pro.. Add more colours maybe ? Congrats on being artist of the day, that was a good pick ! | |
| 25 May 2001 | Jeremy <countneo73@yah. | Great Greyscale work and congratz on the artist of the day honors ) One thing I noticed that might help your pictures a bit is that there isn't much difference in the contrast of objects and the main characters. For instance if one of the characters is wearing a vest and the vest is darker than the figure then the highlites on the vest will be darker than on the person and the darks will also be darker. Different materials will a change this, but either the light to dark scale will be different or the transitions will be faster or slower. (just my two cents) I really like the elven angel. Her boots and bikini are great designs! Keep up the good work... | |

| 26 May 2001 | Shawny | You have the best sense of body work, but your heads are not very good. Otherwise good art! | |
| 26 May 2001 | Leia Graf | I know you've heard it all before, but I love your style! It is reminiscent of Boris and the like, and yet it is subtly different, being pure Dewayne-Style, if I may say so. Your shading is absolutely exquisite (I love the stippled one! Where did you get the patience?), but (and here comes the hopefully constructive criticisms) you do seem to have a slight hitch when it comes to the face, and occasionally the hands. Not that I can talk! I'm sure you'll overcome this with no probs, and we'll all be jealously staring at your work in publication! Keep it up! | |
| 31 May 2001 | Dewayne | From the artist who drew it. Thanks for all the comments. I find all of them useful. Funny, my wife is allways getting on me about having to small of a head, and to small of a set of feet. I will endevor to work on it. I will pursue color, and have ben actually, with photoshop. New stuff will be on shortly, and I think there will be an improvement. As to the clarity of the faces, all i can say is that there about the size of your thumb, when drawn. So it's rather difficult to get a portrait quality face out of so small of a drawing. My only recourse, is to make the faces bigger. Thanks again for all the comments. Dewayne. | |
| 6 Dec 2001 | Anneke Hut | Hello Dewayne, I'd like to invitate you to join the Garden hub. It's an art community project, which basically consists of a glorified link page of sorts and serves to take up the slack when Elfwood goes down or is temporarily unusable due to administrative action. Most of us miss e-mail or homepage addresses of friends when they can't go to the Elfwood bio's. The Garden could be a good place to find them then! Please ask all your friends to join too! The site is new and we have a slowly growing editorial staff who will be overseeing administrative decisions, so it won't be a singular project but rather a coordinated effort. It would be great if you would submit you galleries to our flowery garden! See you in The Garden. The address is:

| 15 Feb 2004 | James I. Fazio | Some nice pencil work here, I especially like your shading. It can be tough, at times, to create realistic textures with a pencil, but you seem to have overcome that obstacle well, for the most part. | |
