SciFi and Fantasy Art: Magic

November 7, 2005. Black ink and acrylic paints. 8.5 x 11 inches.

A classical wizard and a wingless dragon entwine to form my whimsical letter M.

This is based loosely on illuminated capitals found in many religious texts in the 12th century. It is a playful experiment, and I'm very pleased with it. I expect I'll be using my wizard face again, as I especially like how he turned out..
