This is a rather old that I felt would go well with the page and, after all this time, I still enjoy it. But then again I've always enjoyed pastely, smeary mediums. charcol.

15 Sep 1999	Alton Lawson	Loading... Smeary, Greasy, Sooty, Rough and Dingy. Nice work with the medium. Real feeling to it. I am not into the character for two blinks without feeling like I need to wipe off the dirt from looking at it. Looks like gallery stuff in NY too me.

28 Sep 1999		Loading... Charcoals make for great pieces, as you have demonstrated. I feel a pang that I haven't used charcoals since I was 11... I think you've inspired me to dig some up and create.
2 Jan 2000	The artist	Loading... Motion? Can't really see that in the piece as no one has ever accused me of being a "dynamic" artist but thanks for the comment all the same... criticisms, anyone?
