| 21 Aug 2002 | Jan Gillanders | Hi Dianne, Thanks for sending me a look into you multi-faceted self. You are an amazing artist!!! I particularly like the one titled "Fall Sky" - elegant, feminine, classy. Keep your creative spirit flowing. | |
| 16 Sep 2002 | Vincent N. Darlage | Your costuming and the dresses on your figures are fantastic! Good work! | |
| 1 Oct 2002 | Super_pup | I like the clothes on a lot of your drawings, the clothes show a lot of promise. Its just the people that are wearing them are a bit...Bad. They just don't really work. I think some of your sculptures are snazzy, so keep sculpting and making clothes, but throw out the pencil & brush. Now. Dianne L. Alter replies: "To the dog: If you were true to your comment you would have left a link to your site. To become a talented artist, we must make mistakes to learn. Meaning, some of our artwork will be better than others. My art work is created by me, for me, if I can inspire others so be it, my art is for my own growth. To others: If you have a tasteful comment that will help me improve my art I hope to hear from you. Which is the reason I opened the web site in the first place." | |
| 18 Nov 2002 | Jim Ballance | Dear Dianne. I like your work and read the comment from dog. I have a suggestion for you. Photograph live models in the poses and costumes you are attempting to render. Once your film is developed, using 35mm, select the shot you like, cut the negative and put it in a slide mount, project the image onto your paper or illustration board using a regular slide projector. This allows you to get figures, faces, and clothing folds very accurate and quick. The name of the game is speed if you are trying to make a living. Oh, you are a very beautiful lady but you know that. Best wishes, Jim Ballance | |
