SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hope

A team of pshycologists conducted a scientific experiment to test the effect hope would have on lab rats. They filled a tank with water and dropped a bucket of rats in the tank. Within 20 minutes each and every rat had drowned. Then they did the same exact thing; exept after about 10 minutes one of the scientists reached into the tank and pulled just one rat out. Do you know how long the rats kept swimming? Over 24 hours.

That's an exerpt from a church sermon a few Sundays back.

The moral? Help is out there... just believe and hang on...

For the first thing: The story with the picture is extremely good, and fits well.

For the second thing: The picture is amazing. It is so very complete.. and I especially love the contrast on the main character of the picture. Really makes it come alive.

11 Michelle S. Dietz replies: "Wow thanks Brian! I was a little worried that I had included too much contrast and that it might have looked like the main character didn't belong there."

While I find the power of hope very heartwarming, I am saddened and shocked by such a cruel experiment. Those poor rats! Anyway, that's not the point! This is a very powerful picture and I think using that particular story made it even more powerful... I know it brought a tear to my eyes.
