SciFi and Fantasy Art: The King of SwordsAfter a long delay, here's the next card in my Anime Illuminated Tarot series. Da King of Swardz. He represents power, authority, legal actions, difficulties, bad intentions...not a man to be trifled with, I gather. The hardest part of coloring this picture was, of course, the armor, which took me about 3,847 years to do (give or take a year.) Comments, anyone? | |

| 11 Jun 2004 |  Joonas Jurvanen | I've bumped into this pic more than once and it surely has got it's rightful place in my list of favourite pieces of art, so I think I finally should comment it. I'm pretty demanding when it comes to armour, but he just wears something where I can't pick anything bad up. For me, the shoulder and neck -area is the most difficult to get practical and cool at the same time when drawing an armour and in this, it's just perfect. Perfect, I say! <br><br> Now if someone asked me what I would probably be when I grow up, I'd just answer with this picture.  | |
