SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Moon

This image is from a new anime-themed set of original tarot cards I'm currently working on. This one depicts The Moon, which represents illusions, deception, and the moon's effect on nature (on the tides and on the female monthly cycle of fertility.) This was , by far, the hardest card to do, if only for the image of the moon itself, which was done from scratch (using a photo as reference, but I had to do all the blending and computer-rendering of the colors myself using the smudge tool in Photoshop. All in all, I think it turned out pretty well, considering I'd never done anything like that before...)

9 May 2006	Kat	Loading... This picture looks cool. You did a great job on the moon. Thinks about what else to say... Oh, and not to complain or anything, but you could have possibly covered her up more or gave her some clothes. Thats it, my only complaint. Good job on the pic.
