| 7 Dec 2004 | Lloyd Dennis Zacarias | Just finished touring your gallery and here's what my opinion is. First of all you have potential, and I say that based on several artists I've known and artists I still know today. I think what you need is to be threatened by your friends to draw seriously or they'll put a turd in your sketchbook or notebook. It worked for me and I'm sure it'll work for you. Also buy some artbooks by some good srtists. Michael Whelan, Luis Royo, etc. etc. Next even though you've got the basic fundamentals of muscle structure down (not suprising considering you bodybuild)getting an anatomy book would still be good, I myself still need to buy one, but you can substitute the anatomy book with magazines like Men's Health, Muscle & Fitness, Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, Juggies and other sophisticate type literature. Hell that's why I get'em. So you see all you need is a little push and I bet your art would start to come together. Well there it is. You asked for my input and I was honest as possible. Sorry if I was a little too critical. You've got skills Bret, I can see it, now cultivate them. By the way, I was serious about the magazines. They help alot. Especialy Playboy and Penthouse. Bret 'Red Thunder' Measor replies: "Thanks for stopping by and leaving a bigger comment then what I expected. You see my friends don’t really care about my writing or my art so I look to elfwood and comments from people to help motivate me, but not many people come here. I don’t really blame them, who wants to see sub-par odd anime style? I looked at some anime book at chapters this week but it really sucked, but maybe I should look deeper and maybe I can find a book by my favorite artist (Y. Amano) I have lots of anatomy books in my room, I have some M&F and Musclemag, I have no need for PB, I have a girlfriend for that, I even have an art one called “Dynamic Figure Drawings” However I don’t look at it too much. You know what I need; I need a drawing room so I have all my stuff together and easy to reach when in need of them. Do you have a drawing area? Because mine right now is my schools desk and I just use my mind 90% of the time." | |

| 5 Oct 2005 | Jordi Carothers | Hey what if your sign? mine is virgo? I really like your art! | |
| 8 Dec 2005 | Lideon teriow | i'd very much like to see some feathers and maybe some men of males in your art. tell you what, reflect on the idea of a person that might resemble an angel but make them more human. when you do this add some artistic flare to the picture; give it a background and some really heavy armor or a really evil dispossision. I know you have it in your stile just feel the inner beast from within and express it. feel the wind and the earth beneath your feet and let out some pent up destruction. | |
