| 3 Oct 2001 | Dina Joanne Rifai | Hmmm.. I know that signature from anywhere.. Oh yes!! You're the one on the oekaki, I remember ^_^ This picture is really cool - I don't have adobe or anything, but I love the usage of highlighs and shading in here. The hair looks funky too ^_^ | |
| 6 Oct 2002 | Lisa Ann Eshkenazi | I like that you didn't use any hard outlines. And yet it still looks good (I SO cannot get that look). But where the hat rests against his head, some sort of dark shadow or something was needed because as it is, it doesn't look as real as the rest of it. And I also agree with the above comment about his hair. You have to be careful not to over-use the smudge tool (if that's how you got that effect) on hair because it tends to make the hair look...well...not like hair. Rather than seeing the individual strands we just see a sort of clump of hair. But I've never been able to get hair to look right without some hard lines so unfortunately, I can't give you any advice. Overall, I love the lighting effect. It's much better than anything I can do with photoshop. Much better.
Great job on his lips too. That's my favorite part. | |
