Bio: fourth edition. My full name is Dondi Jauthine Ratliff (pronounced 'dawn-dee wah-theen' for your enjoyment. I haven't updated in quite some time...egads. I've been working on writing and drawing, but most of what I've drawn isn't suitable for Elfwood (i.e. it's not 'fantastic' and such, and I don't feel like opening a fanart gallery for, like, three pictures). I have my own scanner, my own printer, and a good computer with a lot of goodies on it. I've removed some of the old stuff, and left others, just because I've not quite got enough to fully replace everything. That, and I've not updated since before Elfwood had the changes it has, so... Yes, removing the non-fantasy stuff is a wise option. I've been in Texas since April or May of 2000, but I still hope to immigrate to England. It's just my passion. I turned 25 this past February 8, and feel the weight of the world pressing upon me. If my drawings tend towards the dark, it's because life has been very nasty to me lately. Ask, and I'll tell you how. I've been updating my Library page mostly, so go have a look at it. Hopefully, my updates won't be quite so few and far between. ;) I've got a webcomic out as well. I've listed it as my artwork page for a while. Why? Cause there's nowhere else for me to mention it! :P Game on!
Hey there Dondi! You have really great pics up here! I love the Unicorn Study, mainly because I cant draw the bodies of horses that well. *Sigh* Oh well, I'll learn someday... Meanwhile, keep on drawing such wonderful pics!
Hi Rio! It looks great, I must say! You are very talented. I found this from the Greens at NWT. Go and check out my art.

I'm your sister, and i guess you've got some very nice stuff here. I just ran across this messing around online one day. Now forget you've read this, I'll deny that this ever happened. (hahahahahaha)
Your animals are beautiful! I left a big comment for the dolphin one *my fave* but I also love your cats.. dragons.. all are nicely done. I especially love it when artists have both color and sketches of pieces.. Great work! Where do you get your inspiration?
*chuckles* It just hits me sometimes, actually. These days, most of the human figures that I do that look anywhere near good are ones that a.) are accidental, or b.) just come to me and don't go away until I learn to draw them correctly. They're mostly in weird positions, though...rarely ever do I get one from the side or front completely. The animals just...appear. *Those* are vivid enough in my head at any point to get them down quickly. It's just humans I'm troubled by...
Otherwise, my inspiration comes from the fantasy stuff I read, and from my own weird little imagination.
Your art is really good, proportions are great, I think you need to work on facial features but you're really getting there. I think your unicorn picture is probably the best, excellent proportions and detail. Keep up the great work
