SciFi and Fantasy Art: Animal Hybrids: Shareel

Once upon a time, there was a conversation with a friend about mixed animals and what they'd be called. It so happened that I drew the dracopard initially for it. And then, of course, my brother's three kids saw it and wanted more, like a monkey-horse and a shark-eel. So. They're getting uploaded too: fanciful creations of creatures you'd never have expected to mate and produce young.

This is called a shareel. ;) Shark and moray eel. I had to use reference pics for both, which is why the style is different. I can imagine this creature living in the Great Barrier Reef, or way out in the middle of nowhere, waiting to be found by some unsuspecting diver.

25 Jan 2007	Sandy	Loading... Just so we are aware, there are 'SHAREELS' they live DEEEEEEP in the sea, and can not survive in the normal sea depths that other sharks live in. They are called "frilled shark"
