SciFi and Fantasy Art: From Out of the Fire

This picture was supposed to be a quick litle doddle because it was my first time using Oekaki, the Japanese program i used to make this, but it ended up taking like two and a half hours. I really like the glow from the fire in the background, but the question is where did the fire come from? The dragon is red and fire is red so did the dragong make the fire or did the dragon come from out of the fire? hmm.... maybe nobody will ever know just like no one will ever know where that missing sock is.

Here's a draggie who looks right at home. The glow in the background looks great, as does the shape of the dragon's head; it almost seems to be grinning.
Let's see, suggestions... ah yes. Fire gets lighter in color as it gets hotter, remember, so maybe if the fire was lightened near the bottom of the pick it would add some more depth. The draggie could do with some shading to show that it's standing in the fire, and highlights around the edges of its head to indicate the firelight. Of course, this is just nitpicking; I really like this pic! Good luck in the future!

:-) Tina Del Carpio replies: "thanks i no i should have done all that stuff but after like 2hrs of tring to use that program i drew tired and decided to just finish but if i have time il,ll finish it and take somme of ur suggestions ( ;"
