SciFi and Fantasy Art: Some Guy

What a title... This was going to be Astikin, the main character of a story I'm working on, but I decided to give the world a different 'feel' (more armor on people, weirder stuff, etc.). So now he's just some guy with a sword, or maybe he'll be a character for something else. I don't really like how it turned out, though I was happy with it right after I finished.

This is pretty cool! When I look at it, I think that this must be what Dante' from "Clerks" looks like when he's medieval and pissed. *grins*

reminds me of the sheriff of Nottingham from Robin Hood

I think this guy looks really cool. Reminds me of Strider from lord of the rings. He looks like a ranger.

I love this picture. Its obvioulsy old (the dates of the first comments) but irs so cute and simple. You should keep drawing with this kidna of way.. don't steal stuff from Blade of the Immortal. You draw gruff medieval men better than lanky asian men 1 You should go back and redraw this and see how it comes out ^_^ Congrats on featured artist of the day!

Somehow this 'guy' reminds me of Boromir... hmm...

Anyway, I think you have an excellent style! It looks really... well... Medieval. Really cool. Keep it up! 2

I agree with Scott, that sword is far too small. It could have been a great opportunity to work on the cloak folds.
Apart from this I like your style very much. The colour you choose for pencil and paper (or you added with Photoshop, doesn't really matter)adds an extra medieval feeling to your artwork. Great job!

In the comment about his shoulder been cut off, i was wrong, after i looked closer i found that yopu drew his lower section too big, his head to small, and his waist too thin, sort of like in that messed up face guy.

I think its entirely off, i mean, for example, his left wrist is too big for his cape to sag off like that, it looks light you cut off a chunk of his shoulder or something.

This drawing reminds me of Larry Dixon, the author.
