My brother, Jeremy Terner is an artist but not yet a professional. I would like to know if you can recommend some good colleges where he can study art as he is half way through high school. In case you are curious about the name similarities, our grandparents left Vienna in the late thirties.

hi

Your stuff is all really good. I love the way you colour! People are forgetting that Lotr is a book.. And need to stop narrowing their perceptions of the characters to the actors. I say way to go for having the guts to draw a Legolas that doesn't look like Orlando Bloom.. Because god knows you'll get critized for it.

Hi,

I tried to take up watercolour about a year ago but was forced to give it up beacsue I simply could not get the effects I wanted. I love colour and vibrancy, but watercolour seems to be the only medium that can convey the sence of emotion I hunger to achive in all my work.
I read you guide and was surprised to find how much better it was than most books I had read.
I want to know if there is any pount in mr taking up watercolours again. There are some factors that may have effected my work last time. I used a WHSmith paint set and I used normal paper from my printer to work on. I dont know weather the brushes i used were any good or not but they started to lose their points very rapidly.
Do you think I should get the proper stuff and give it another go or should I have still been able to get good enough effects with these tools so water colouring is probably not for me? (tried to email you but it kept failing)

Thanks in advance, congrats on the great guide,

Russ

P.S, the most annoying thing was that i could allways see the paper through the paint! Does that still occur with water colour paper?

Hi I think your work is great. I was wondering if we are related. My parents came to this country from Vienna. My father name is Hugo and he had a number of uncles who were lost in the Holocaust. I was told that the spelling of my last name is so unusual that if anyone with the same spelling would be a relative. I am 57 have a gallery called Focal Point Gallery for the past 32 years. wwwfocalpointgallery.com I am a photographer and also have been involved in the arts almost my whole life. Besides the Gallery I make my living as a commercial photographer. www.photographybyronterner.com I live on City Island in the Bronx where the gallery is. Any way if we are not related I still think your work is good and wish you much luck. Ron
