SciFi and Fantasy Art: Legolas

Legolas keeps watch in the wee hours of morning as the company takes a well deserved rest. I though I should do something in watercolor as I think it is a very effective medium and too few people use I will put up more.

His ears are huge. I like it. I just hope his tunic doesn't go flying up sometime. . . That would really suck.

O.K. I admit I personally don't like the ears but I think the discussion on his hair colour is pointless. Sure his father had golden hair but we don't know what his mother looked like which would have an impact on his hair. Plus Tolkien never described his hair

(the quote 'Frodo looked up at the Elf standing tall above him, as he gazed into the night, seeking a mark to shoot at. His head was dark, crowned with sharp white stars that glittered in the black pools of the sky behind.' (The Fellowship of the Ring, "The Great River") doesn't really prove anything since it was dark and anyone's hair would look dark.

Not that I'm saying his hair was blond or dark all I'm saying is that we really don't know one way or the other. I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion it just annoys me when other people try to make you see it their way.
