Try shading it and making it more 3-dimensional; it would look more realistic that way.

It's a very good start. The pencils seem very faint (I suffer from the same problem). I've been experimenting with trying to make everything darker. That way, even the light areas are really a light shade of gray. Bear in mind, this is advice of one amatuer to another. Cheerio!
