SciFi and Fantasy Art: Potbellied Mouse FaeryThis little guy was inspired by the work of Brian Froud. His face is a little dog-like (I mean the fae, not the Froud), but his hands and feet are decidedly mousey. Is he coming to tickle you, or to slay you with his mighty feather?
Polymer clay, acrylic paint, feather from an unsuspecting bird. 6 1/2'' tall.

But the paint was starting to rub off, and I wanted to make it lighter anyway. I realized I have to glaze or seal it somehow, either before or after painting, or else the paint is ephemeral when handled regularly. In any case, the repaint is "Mightier Than the Sword." It's still sort of a mottled blue-gray, just a lighter mottled blue-gray. ^__^ Thanks for your comments!" | |
