SciFi and Fantasy Art: Madrygal's cover - particular

This is just a part of the picture I made on commission for a band whose bass-guitarist has been a frind of mine for a lot of time. <br> I chose it because I love the head of the white horse, the mist right of the castle and the light on the hills... they are not the only things I like, but it's curious how the less evident parts of a work can become the most appreciated by the author.^^

The light on the hills -is- gorgeous. And the detailing is just luscious. Again, I'm awed (and awfully jealous) of your colors.

Personally, I like this better than the whole big picture... it's more focused - the colors are less diverse, and there are less things that call for attention so the eye doesn't just wander around helplessly all the time 2
