SciFi and Fantasy Art: Alone

'Nemee was sitting by the window when they entered the room. She was looking out, her eyes distant, and her arms folded around the wound in her chest. Apocalypse was the first one to speak, hesitantly:
'We'll be going now, Nemee...'
Nemee looked up abruptly, her eyes blazing.
'What? I am coming with you!'
She moved to get up, and Apocalypse grabbed her arm.
'No, your wound still hasn't healed!'
The braided girl shook her off with a curse, and glared at her.
'Feh, I am perfectly capable of fighting! I'm not going to be left alone here!'
Apocalypse was about to answer when Vega stepped in between them, her face set in stone, and eyes cold and frozen like the lake in mid-winter.
'You are not to come with us, you will only slow us down. We don't need you.'
Then she grabbed Apocalypse's arm, and lead her out of the room, not looking back. Nemee sank down in her chair, tears in her eyes. She was alone after all.'

Uhm, I have no idea why I decided to write a part of my story to go with the picture, since I haven't even really gotten around to start writing the beginning. It might have something to do with the fact that I was done colouring early in the morning, and was starting to feel the lack of sleep... Heh. ^-^;;; Anyway, it's Nemee, and it's just supposed to be a practise on emotions, so please excuse all the faults! Poor little Nemee feels all alone and saaaad! *pats Nemee*

25 Mar 2004	Jeremy N. Marcum	Loading... Usually I love SD (super deformed/chibi/whatever-the-heck-you-want-to-call-them) characters but it doesn't quite seem to work in this picture. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, but I can't quite put my finger on what's bothering me. Lovely work though, and I love the bloodied feathers. Eli Marie S. And I promise not to be too mean to poor little Nemee, but this part is important for her character development! (How come it's only suffering who seems to make characters develope?) But next time I will draw her megahappy, kay? And a big huggle from Nem-chan to you Mary-neko! ^-^"
