SciFi and Fantasy Art: Swinging

This is an oldie, I remember sketching this one early in jauary. ^-^ I think I had a background planned for it, but I can't really be bothered to add one right now... So we'll have to make do with cheesey airbrush-colouring. ^-^

Wow, Vega really likes ribbons, doesn't she? I mean, she has ribbons attached to her swing! I really like the flowy hair, I wish I could color like that (or at all)

1 Eli Marie S. Landro replies: "Vega has no saying in what she likes, if I want ribbons, there WILL BE ribbons! *laughs maniacally* Erhm. Anyways, glad you like it! And I am sure you are a lot better at colouring than you think!!! ^-^"

I love her dress (again), you really gave it movement as if she was really swinging, and...... it's soooo cute!
Brilliant pic (and it looks good without a background, wonder why?lol)!

Very cute! I think that the movement of the hair and the dress conflicts, if the swing is moving forward the hair is correct, going backward, but the dress would be pulled back, under the swing. If the swing is moving backward, then the dress is correct, but the hair would be pushed forward, flowing around her shoulders and face. Also, I think that the left side of her waist looks a little strange, as her waist goes directly into her leg, with little hip to speak of. I'm fairly nitpicky though, and overall its very well done and I like her serene expression 2

15 Eli Marie S. Landro replies: "Actually, the movements aren't necessarily wrong, because the dress could move like that when swinging forward. Taken from my own experience, where my dress would always flow up when I was swinging. 2 The anatomy is really bad, but since this is an older picture, I like to believe that I have improved on that point somewhat! 1"
