SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Lady and her servant

Behold, I drew some human characters for a chance!

This picture is inspired by Justin Williams' stories, and portaits two of his characters: Lady, the embodiment of magic and mysteries, and her dedicated servant and arch mage Emrys. Their mission is to protect people and worlds from malicious forces and the wall painting behind them symbolizes their position as a part of the sruggle between good and destructive beings. Emrys is mostly human, but his past dealings with supernatural forces mutated his left hand. If you want to know more about these two I recommend you to read Justin's stories.

As a wise man once said "The devil is in the detail" I can’t even begin to imagine how long this took. Good job, keep it coming.

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "Thank you! The details truly took handsome amount of time (especially the background) to draw. "

and the bold lines - i like them too

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "From now on I’ll be definatelly sucker for bold lines. But her chin isn’t that amazing, I personally like the cheeks most."

I love the art nouveau feel to this piece, and the amount of detail that you put into the background is fantastic. This piece is very deserving of mod’s choice!

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "Thank you! I originally didn’t even thought about art nouveau, but now when you say it... It’s maybe the bold outlines that give the certain feel to a picture. "

Ohh it did get mods choice, wonderful! now if they’d just give me one for a story..

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "You will get one some day. You just have to add more sex in your stories and the popularity is guaranteed!

(hmm...ok, perhaps not among moderators...)"

The wall paintings must have taken insanely long amounts of time to draw... I just can’t stop looking! Beautiful, detailed and *jaw drops*

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "Thank you, and yes, it took insanely long. Luckily the result seem to be worth it... "

There’s only one thing I can say: OMG. You may remember how I’ve always wanted you to draw smooth lines and here they finally are! It’s just pure love.

(And yes, I’m a stalker.)

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "Muahaha...thanks for stalking. I’m starting to learn something...and I found out that smooth lines are much easier to do in big size and that a calligraphic pen helps a lot.

Nice to see a sign of you. I have been horribly inactive online lately and haven’t much talked with people. "
