SciFi and Fantasy Art Yavanna by Aly Laine


	You know who is this, if you read Tokien's 'Silmarillion'. One of Valars, who makes everything grow, Mistress of all living creatures, especially plants, she created 2 Trees of Valinor. Although Yavanna is supposed to wear a green dress, I thought that it could also be like this. This drawing was a Birthday present to my Granny.

1 Mar 2003	Anonymous	Loading... That's REALLY, REALLY pretty! I love the expression on her face and her flowing hair. but one thing (this might just be a typo) valar is the plural of vala. Yavanna is a Vala, but she is one of the Valar. Aly Laine replies: "Thanks! Yep, I know she is Vala.. May be thats the Russian translation... Valar is male and Vala is female, and general word for them all is Valars... Well, may be you are right, I will correct that."

Thanks))yep, i know it is plural, i didnt figure out this thing at first because in russian (my language) it all sounds totally different. for the same reason that Rohirric thing occured, in Russian there is only one single form and it differs from all English ones, so.. ))) thanks anyway )"
